This virtual pet keychain is one of the earliest ones made by Tamagotchi, although I do not know the exact year that it came out. If you should know I would enjoy getting that information. My husband and I bought these at a clearance sale many years ago. I tried to sell them at a flea market but they did not do well back then. So we took the batteries out and stored them. They have not been played with. The package is still all original though not perfect and the instructions are inside the cardboard. My husband opened each one and put new batteries in and tested them. So it should work. Just pull the plastic tab and you are good to go. They are an interesting piece of gaming history.
